Tree Planting

We engage school communities in planting trees as an educational experience, cultivating long term stewardship and care for our trees after they’re planted.

Reforesting school neighborhoods has been a core program focus for Growing Together since its inception in 2013. We believe that the biggest challenge in reforesting our urban neighborhoods isn’t distributing & planting trees, but rather engaging communities to care for their urban forests after trees have been planted. That’s why we reach communities through students & schools, making tree planting a family engagement & educational process, cultivating more informed, invested community care for our urban forests.
